Respiratory care is a healthcare specialty focused on managing and
improving patients’ pulmonary function through the use of evidence based treatments and therapies.
Ventilator patients who’ve been discharged after a hospital stay often need continued respiratory care provided by skilled therapists in a long-term care setting.
The goal of long-term respiratory care is to help each patient reach
his or her best possible health outcomes, whether that means gaining mobility and independence, decreasing dependence on a ventilator, or transitioning back to the home environment with the help of family and caregivers.
Why Should I Choose ALRS?
For more than 30 years, patients and their families have trusted ALRS to provide quality, comprehensive respiratory care.
• Our respiratory therapists are state-licensed and nationally
registered or certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care
(NRBC).
• We follow best practices for respiratory care as outlined by the
American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC).
• We offer 24/7 on-site care and support, so you can be sure our
therapists are available whenever they’re needed.
• Our respiratory therapists integrate seamlessly with your long-term care facility’s medical team.
• We assess each patient to determine whether he or she can be
weaned off their dependence on a ventilator.
• We use the latest respiratory care technology to ensure patient
comfort and safety.
