Longhouse® specializes in providing vibrant Assisted Living and Memory Care Households for seniors who have Alzheimer's, dementia and other chronic conditions, such as Parkinson’s Disease or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. We combine the comforts of a real home with comprehensive assisted living and memory care services, better socialization and activities, and a professional operation.

Longhouse is the antidote to both the too-big hotel-style senior living communities and the too-small Adult Family Homes. With 15 residents, Longhouse hits the sweet spot. We are sponsored by Husky Senior Care, a Seattle-based in-home care company that we founded in 2009 to serve the Alumni of all colleges and universities. The Longhouse caregivers, communication model, and operation appeal to discerning seniors and their families who demand superior service and outcomes.

 

We believe that in senior living, smaller is better. Longhouse is leading the way to a "human scale" household ecosystem for seniors.

 

For those who need daily support but do not require specialized dementia-focused programming, we offer assisted living in the same warm, household setting. This service supports personal care, daily routines, and quality of life in a smaller, more personal environment.

 

Our memory care services are designed specifically for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. We provide:

  • Secure households with free access to gardens and natural light

Memory Care

Memory Care Communities provide a secure setting that alerts staff if a resident has exited, offers a secure outdoor area, and the staff receives training on Alzheimer’s and related dementia.
